Malamos Κostas (1913-2007)
Malamos Κostas was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1913. He studied painting on a scholarship, at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1932 – 1937) with professors P. Mathiopoulos, U. Argyros and K. Parthenis. During his studies, he was awarded many honors. He has taught at the Athens College and the Vakalo College. In 1960, he founded the Gallery of Greek Modern Art, in Ioannina. In 1972, he was awarded the 2nd States Painting Award and in 1994, the Academy of Athens Award. He was presented in many group and personal exhibitions, in Greece and abroad. He has painted numerous frescos in churches, public buildings, and elsewhere.
