“Poor Devil” Shadow theater is a purely folk art based on immediacy, simplicity and above all on the familiar characters of its protagonists. In my work “Poor Devil” I deal with the need for the birth of such a personality. I’m trying to recreate a modern karagiozis, illustrated in other terms, which, as it is not involved in any action, seeks direct communication with its viewer. Now there is no script, only a suspicious identification of space and time, fertile once again for new “poor devil” stories! Lila Belivanaki
