Port of Milos
This painful contrast of lost joy and unbearable pain paralyzed my painting with no interruption. Persistently and monotonously, paintbrushes and paints were united on the subject: A couple, a woman and a man, often in front of their half-open door, gazing at the oceans of the world. They are not portraits, only anonymous human beings in space and time, in the moments of life, in its luminous and dark aspects.
