And his painting captures that look that occurs when the world traps it, when the bodies sacrifice their proportions to the altar of intensity, which finds its shape on the surface of the table. The bodies of women are erased through the deforming mirror of a gaze that touches the surfaces to confess its interiority, like that half-open door at the depth from which little light enters. And that’s their beauty.
As for the miracle – because there is no creation without a miracle – it is now visible to the naked eye: the time is identical with the space, the space of the bodies that remain enclosed, together with their dream that correspond to a time made only by the whole. These faces have neither past nor future. They are made only by the present. The miracle is present.
