Samios tries and succeeds in transmitting the pulses of a story, to activate the sensation, to enlarge it, to complete it. As R. Montherwell’s adhesions were a sort of personal diary through the depictions of objects, so the objects or even the human figures in P. Samios’s works are the starting point for an experiential narrative that makes creating true. Without it, the artist’s thought and imagination is characterized by relativity similar to the space-time relativity. Source: samiospavlos.gr

The exhibition by Ikastikos Kiklos however, does not aim at familiarizing the viewer with the already well-known series of works of the artist. It actually presents a series of bold nightly compositions with a balance between subtraction and figurative painting. The narrative character of the "Moonlight" exhibition focuses on the moment when you are waiting for you companion, when the time stops and the moment becomes eternal. The titles of the works are specific hours aiming on the commenting of the time, the time spent waiting, the hours they don’t pass quick enough, the lonely hours of the night. These hours combined with the fluctuations of the person waiting, the longing for the arrival of your companion is the feeling that makes the atmosphere of the new work. The canvases are flooded by enlarged tables that act as a backdrop. "On the table, you lay down your ideas, you touch a fantasy," says the creator. The various familiar objects that the viewer sees in well-structured compositions create a consistency with the artist's past work. Things come out of their own substance and they transform into a symbolism, they tell a story, real or fantasy. Source: samiospavlos.gr
