He was characterized as "the engraver and painter of the Aegean, with dreamy shots that overlap as veils over the sea along with mythical figures". Important moments in his career was when he created posters of the Greek-Italian war of 1940, the national emblem of the Republic in 1974 and, as we have said, the well-known "Alfavitario" of 1949 that was worshiped and published repeatedly. For this "Reading” Yannis Tsarouchis wrote: "This book and an EAM poster gave me joy and hope. Thanks to Grammatopoulos. “He was also popular in the pedagogy "Classically Illustrated" ("Perseus and Andromeda", "Theseus and Minotauros", etc.).
