She expressed herself in a variety of ways, combining different materials in her works, while her subject matter comes from fantastic three-dimensional environments, square openings, temples and residences, gates, galleries and pyramids, arrows, markings, ascents and streets, double and symmetrical interiors, columns, cubes and rectangles, passages, horizons, dead-ends and chess-boards.In the work of Opus Zounis, art and science are inextricably linked. Science for her means this research of reality, while art is the expression of beauty.

 

The advanced nature of her work in Greece is not immediately recognized, mainly because she is a woman! "I personally could not present my work at a solo exhibition in Greece, a woman and a pioneer, and so I started from Biarritz, France. So, with a foreign passport, I walked into the Greek arts. She leave a great impression with her first individual solo exhibition at the Vallombreuse Gallery in France in 1970. Critics put her among the pioneers of modern art.
