Kostas Tsoklis belongs historically to the 1960s generation, which introduced modernism in Greece. For half a century he has been working on topicality with his creation as much as anyone else in his own country: exhibitions, book publications, public works, television appearances, helped to hold a prominent place in the Greek arts scene. His reputation has surpassed the boundaries of Greece: he stayed in Italy for two years cultivating relations with museums and galleries, he lived in France for 25 years saving his experiences, works of his in Belgium decorated the National Museum of Modern Art, recent environmental reports in Turkey contributed to Greek-Turkish friendship, in America he experimented with new techniques and he was rich with works of state and private collections.
