The result was the lines with intense linearity, flat surfaces and color masses without shadows, large expressive eyes and the rendering of a deep inwardness in the figures and a romantic mood on the part of the artist. Much has been written and said about the "Greekness" of his art, a term difficult to define, however, as Manolis Hadjidakis wrote in the newspaper Eleftheria on the occasion of the exhibition "Romvos": "At best, the artist does not need theories to create his work. But he needs to know how the artists of his place worked and expressed, to enrich his technique and, above all, his sensitivity. Beyond that, his psychic affinities will lead him asphalt to the selection and assimilation of those elements from the tradition that fit him and will proceed to his artistic production, which should not be less personal. This condition is always a creative artist. " Source: insidestory.gr
