The two school books of first grade which he illustrated in 1949 and 1955, are well-known. The assignment of the illustration of the two alphabets was the result of the first place he took in the two corresponding Pan-Hellenic competitions of the School Book Publishing Organization (OESB). ). At the International Pedagogical Book Fair and at the World Pedagogical Symposium there, in Laeken, Belgium in 1949, he was awarded the First Prize for the “Good Kids” Prize. Illustrating the bases, he created a new code of communication for all Greeks in the difficult years of the post-war period. His intention was that the book would “touch” the children, so remembering these pictures is all about emotion and joy. The 1955 alphabet was used for language teaching in Grade A for over twenty consecutive years.
