Mina P.

Mina Papatheodorou – Valyraki was born in Athens. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of the National Technical University of Athens with professor Yiannis Moralis. At the same time, she is attending mural lessons. Born in 1981 with a scholarship from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she began her postgraduate studies in Art History at the University of Florence, where she obtained a PhD in 1986. Her works are at the Athens Art Gallery, the National Museum of Women’s Arts in Washington, the National Museum of Women in Arts, the National Bank, the North Museum, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the Museum of Barcelona, the Automobili Lamporghini Museum in Italy, Averof, in many private collections in Greece and abroad as well as Fiat, Mercedes, Genesis Ferrari, EKKA, Trident Cars and others

The work of Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki is recorded, at least in terms of its poetic way, within what remains of the essence of aesthetics of all times, even before becoming a particular historical trend. I would like to say that the Athenian painter's quest has always been characterized by a vitality that is based on a precondition for her writing, in a sense that her thematic repertoire, which is also extremely broad and varied - and equally effusive of nature, the human form, mechanical elements and technology - ultimately it always has to do with the same energy. In other words, for Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki, the feeling is not limited to the role of the protagonist and the beginning of the artist’s creativity. Instead, it fills the artistic creation throughout its course, and it grasps it with the vibrations and cracks it brings and in a way we would say it becomes a component, a "material" of the whole painting procedure.
