Sianti Gallery on Saturday 16 December 2023 at 12:00 inaugurates the well- established group exhibition “Small Paintings 2023-2024”. Art, as is known, has the power to be ahead of its time, giving hope for something new, bright, optimistic. That’s why this Christmas, Sianti Gallery decided to make a donation to the Elpida Association by raffling off a painting by Thanasis Lalas. Every visitor to the exhibition can purchase 10 euro vouchers throughout its duration, thereby taking part in the project’s raffle. All raffle proceeds will be donated to the Elpida Association and one lucky winner will receive the artist’s work at a draw on Friday 2nd February in the presence of a representative of the association.
Art and hope are two links united, since the main reason is that art means creation, i.e. genesis. She is the one who reminds that the world always finds the way to hope. In this sense Art is Hope. This also stems from the works of the 26 visual artists who make up the Christmas group exhibition of Sianti Gallery. The works, although small in size 30X30 cm, work magically, invading like a waterfall in an almost standardized culture. And it is precisely at this moment that each artist with his brushes creates representations of reality that are overwhelmed by bright colors, gestural writings, contours, figurative forms, elements of nature. Thus, visual routes are drawn in colorful valleys, winking at days of joy and hope with a visual gift to loved ones.
