Petros Zouboulakis was born in Athens in 1937 and his origins are from Lakonia. He studied under the scholarship of National Scholarships Foundation at the School of Fine Arts, under the direction of Yannis Moralis (1956-1961) and later stage design, decoration and advertising. He has presented his work in 35 solo exhibitions in Greece and has participated in many important group exhibitions in Greece and abroad as well as in many international Biennale. Since 1961, along with painting, he has worked for theater and cinema, creating set scenes and costumes. He collaborated with the State Theaters (NTUA, Arma Thespidos, various theaters), the Athens Theater, etc. Illustrated stories in magazines and participated in calendar illustrations. He taught decorative applications, free design and painting at the ATO-Doxiades School of Decorative Arts (1964-1976), stage design at ATES and Vakalo Schools (1979-1984) and decorative applications and color at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens (1984-1986). His works are in many private collections in Greece and abroad, in collections of banks, in the National Gallery, etc. In 2011, he was awarded the Academy Award for his artistic creation
