Marbles
The combination of frequency and diversity of the “Stones” is the dominant motif in the work of Soroga. This is the subject where the painter puts a system of principles and rules that give the line an aesthetic path to follow: simplicity, balance, order of an inner rhythm, limitation of the written surface in relation to the unwritten, precise design, careful calculated, composition, light texture of the design and the color. In terms of color, the increased use of white in relation to the painting, the indelible tonal gradations of gray and the use of red, blue and pink prevail. The stone formations synergistically recall images of the Greek landscapes. Often between the stones, lonely red poppies are presented as a kind of resistance to time, wear, compatibility and loneliness, while giving a poetic atmosphere to the work.
