Duration: Saturday, 29 September 2018 – Saturday, 13 October 2018.

In celebration of the World Heart Day (29 September) and the World Obesity Day (11 October) the Ikastikos Kiklos Sianti Gallery with the collaboration of painter Thanasis Lalas has the honor of presenting the “HE(ART)” Exhibition, an event in support of the “Elpida” Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.
The “HE(ART)” Exhibition will be held at the Ikastikos Kiklos Sianti Gallery and will be open to the public from Saturday, 29 September 2018 until Saturday, 13 October 2018. The opening of the exhibition will take place at the Ikastikos Kiklos Sianti Main Hall on Wednesday, 3 October 2018, at 19.00. During the event, an auction of the painting “Conversing with the heart” (100×100 cm, 2017) by Thanasis Lalas will be held in support of the “Elpida” Association. All proceeds will be donated solely to the “Elpida” Association of Friends of Children with Cancer.
The “HE(ART)” Exhibition includes more than 20 works of art which will be on sale in an effort to support the “Elpida” Association with a significant amount of any proceeds. The featured paintings by Thanasis Lalas remind us of a company of characters derived from the grand circus of the absurd: people flying, homes slanted but not crumbling, skies transforming into oceans, floating fish, birds diving into the abyss, hearts which are burning yet never burnt, the awakening of numbed senses…
The “HE(ART)” Exhibition
The “HE(ART)” Exhibition is an attempt to breath along with our fellow men and women, it is a heart beating in compassion to others, a hand in support of anyone in need. It is the fight of children struggling to stay alive. The “HE(ART)” Exhibition is a presence in times of a generalized absence!
