Sianti Gallery, continuing its collaboration with NYX Esperia Palace Hotel Athens, presents Thanasis Lalas in a unique visual art event on Tuesday, May 27 at 7:00 PM. The artist will paint live in front of the eyes of visitors and passersby at the hotel entrance, offering a unique experience to the public.
Titled “The Night’s Rainbow and The Seventeen Tomorrows Like Today”, the exhibition explores the idea of tomorrow—through seventeen thought-provoking artworks that question whether the future is truly unknown, or simply a reflection of a familiar present or past. As the next featured artist in the “Sianti Gallery Under the Spell of NYX” project, Lalas brings his distinctive style and deeply symbolic universe to the NYX Esperia Hotel.
What is “tomorrow”? Does it truly exist, or is it merely today on repeat? “Tomorrow, scientists will create outrageous systems… Scientists will become the new entertainers.” Has tomorrow already arrived? These are just some of the questions that Lalas invites the audience to contemplate. His vibrant colors, persistent use of symbolism, and a narrative quality that borders on literary, define his work. His brushstrokes echo the complex layers of contemporary life, always seen through a personal and poetic lens. During the opening, the artist will also speak with attendees about his inspirations and the stories behind his works.
The project “Sianti Gallery Under the Spell of NYX” aims to bring art closer to all—inviting locals, travelers, and art enthusiasts alike to step into an inspiring space and experience the transformative power of creativity. At its core, the project reflects the belief that art can be experienced anywhere, anytime, and by anyone. It is not confined by space or occasion—because art lives everywhere.
The exhibition entitled “The Rainbow of the Night and Seventeen Tomorrows as Today” will be hosted throughout the hotel and will be open to the public during the day until June 22.
