Strictness and transparency are the elements that underpin Varoutso’s point of view, who manages to apologize for a sculpture that does not invade by threatening, but penetrates, does not attack but is capable of conveying values of a new visual perception for the modern man.
Modern art attempted to establish through its special language an anti-reality that is molded with different materials and opposes physics. A passion, definitely neoplatonic, has led and drives the evolution of artistic search, especially in the 20th century, from historical avant-gardes to neoprotopories and from hot super-vanguard to the corresponding cold.
