Ikastikos Kiklos Sianti Gallery presents the exhibition “Just Believe”, dedicated to the power of art and diversity, through the work of Nikiforos, a talented 14-year-old artist on the autism spectrum who invites us to see the world through his colors.
This exhibition is more than a collection of paintings — it is a story about faith, creativity, and the transformative strength of art. It speaks of art’s ability to unite worlds, soften hardships, and change the way we perceive life. It reminds us that even through the most unique paths, light, hope, and creation can emerge.
With his sensitivity and deep observation, Nikiforos transforms every stimulus — a light, a sound, a small detail of everyday life — into image. His works authentically capture his inner world: full of light, color, joy, truth, and motion. His circular lines and expressive brushstrokes speak of a mind that knows no limits and constantly seeks the infinite.

Painting is his voice — his way of communicating with the world and expressing what cannot be said in words. Through his canvas, Nikiforos reminds us that every achievement is a small miracle, every step forward a reason for hope. As the exhibition’s title says, “Just Believe” — because willpower can transcend boundaries, and diversity can become a source of strength and inspiration.

Nikiforos’ story reminds us all that diversity is not a limitation but a strength; that art can be a tool of acceptance and inclusion; that every child, when believed in and given the right environment to express themselves, can conquer the world.
Through art, we are invited to see the world as he does — without prejudice, without barriers, and full of possibilities.
As art historian and exhibition curator Hera Papapostolou notes: “Nikiforos loves colors and painting — and that is evident in every one of his works. He doesn’t just create shapes; he possesses a profound sense of the world around him while simultaneously understanding the image of his own soul. Painting is his voice to speak to the world, and through it, he offers us a profound lesson in life.
Through his art, a different way of seeing reality unfolds — clearer, more honest, free from the conventions and expectations that society often imposes. Nikiforos’ work invites us to redefine the notions of creativity, acceptance, and inclusion, showing us that every unique perspective is precious and necessary for understanding the world in all its complexity.”
At the opening event, mezzo-soprano and vocal professor Eirini Karagianni will present a special live performance — playing the piano and singing, while Nikiforos paints alongside her, creating a magical dialogue between music and art.
As part of the event, Nakas Conservatory will offer a music scholarship to a young talent, actively supporting creativity and artistic expression among children.
Throughout the exhibition, talks and educational programs for children will be organized, highlighting what it means to be on the autism spectrum and how this experience can enrich creativity and artistic expression.
