On the Horizon of Aristotelous Square, now in the collection of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art (Greece): a glass triangle with its twelve-meter inverted base to write the horizon of Thermaikos, with a thickness of only a few centimeters. With this work, Varotsos attempted to recreate the space in the city, the place where the city – or every city of the world – and its people, lost by chasing time. The passive and always hasty spectator attempts to revive the horizon, a horizon that has been frightened or perhaps disappeared. He calls in an attitude of forcing and maybe in a change of course, with a minimal sculpture gesture in space. On the horizon of Venice, with a thirty-meter-wide aperture, the glass-blue horizon, just above the water of the naked city, is almost oblique to show and bring out its own magic, mythical and historical horizon, between heaven and sea.<\/p>\n
