The monumentality of Vlassis\u2019s theatrical forms characterizes the volumes of his sculptures, which are always distinguished by a staged dimension of movement. His multilevel and often sharp \u201cancient Greek\u201d bronze sculptures, the biomorphic figures, the Olympic Sports, the geometric embraces of his tubular figures and the explosive erotic female bodies \u2013 have all been designed beforehand on paper and are dominated by the sense of a movement frozen in time.<\/p>\n
