\u201cHow hard must a heart be, to stand such a betrayal?\u201d This is the question Thanassis Lalas is faced with, in his personal exhibition under the title \u201cHeard\u201d, which is hosted at the Ikastikos Kiklos Sianti and will have its opening on Tuesday 14th of February, at 19:00 in the evening.<\/p>\n

Playing with the words \u201cHeart\u201d and \u201cHard\u201d, Thanassis Lalas \u201cgreets\u201d Saint Valentine with a series of works coming from the heart, in an effort to answer certain questions, which have always remained elusive, since his childhood years. Thanassis Lalas\u2019 paintings, sculptures and unique objects designed by the artist himself, are seeking for the tiniest bits of clues, which would help us uncover the countless wonders of the heart.<\/p>\n

As the artist points out in regards to his \u201cHeard\u201d exhibition: \u201cThe HEART is the chamber of our soul!\u201d \u201cAnd what is there, in the chamber of our soul?\u201d I asked my teacher\u2026 with the naivety of a child, facing an unanswered question. \u201cOur feelings\u201d\u2026 she said to me in a blink. \u201cAnd what are our feelings?\u201d \u201cEverything a person feels among people!\u201d The conversation ended there, because neither my schoolmates, neither my teacher herself could take it any further.<\/p>\n

This is the conversation I would like to continue through the series of works, revolving around the HEART!<\/p>\n

My goal is to explore the stuff of the HEART!<\/p>\n

How fragile can a heart be?<\/p>\n

Does a heart differ from man to man?<\/p>\n

Can we change our lives by the sheer power of our heart?<\/p>\n

Do we fall in love by the heart?<\/p>\n

How does our heart cope with failure?<\/p>\n

How can it not burst with triumph?<\/p>\n

What makes it ail?<\/p>\n

How hard must a heart be, to stand betrayal?<\/p>\n
